Within Jamaica:

No travel fee is required for Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Kingston, Portland, Negril, or Treasure Beach.

We follow local aviation regulations, weather advisories, and no-fly zones. Some resorts require prior approval for aerial filming.

How We Film (Style, Audio & Technical Approach)

What is your film style?

Natural, intimate storytelling that centres couples and family.

Our approach blends:

• Clean composition

• Intentional pacing

• Elegant colour grading

• Documentary authenticity

• Cinematic atmosphere

The result is refined, timeless, and emotionally grounded.

Do you record vows and speeches?

Yes. We mic key speakers with discreet lapel microphones or connect to the main PA mixer when available. Ambient sound is captured for depth and immersion.

We recommend coordinating audio access with your planner or officiant in advance.

Are you prepared for low-light receptions and tropical rain?

Yes. We use fast lenses and discreet lighting for evening receptions. Our equipment is weather-sealed, and we plan contingencies for tropical weather conditions common in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Cultural Ceremonies & Traditions

Do you film traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and wedding door games?

Yes. We respectfully document traditional Chinese tea ceremonies (Jìng Chá 敬茶) and wedding door games (often referred to as Jiē Xīnniáng 接新娘), as well as Caribbean and other cultural rituals.

We approach each tradition with preparation and attentiveness, ensuring generational exchanges and symbolic gestures are preserved with clarity and dignity.

Do you work with international destination couples?

Absolutely. Many of our couples travel from North America, Europe, and Asia to celebrate their weddings in Jamaica and across the Caribbean.

We are experienced in managing cross-cultural timelines, multi-day celebrations, and destination logistics with professionalism and discretion.

Deliverables & Timeline

What films do we receive?

You will receive:

• A signature highlight film (typically 4–6 minutes)

• Optional documentary edits (full ceremony and toasts)

• A 20–45 second social media teaser

Optional vertical reels or short-form social edits are available upon request.

How do we receive our films?

Films are delivered via a private online gallery in 4K Ultra HD. Long-term hosting options are available. A keepsake USB can be provided upon request.

Rights, Music & Raw Footage

Can we choose the music?

We license music legally for web and social use. You are welcome to share preferred genres and atmosphere. Final selections must be licensable to protect your film from copyright takedowns.

Do you deliver raw footage?

Raw files are uncurated and extremely large. We offer raw footage transfers via physical hard drive add-on for couples who request everything. Otherwise, we recommend curated documentary edits.

Can we post our film on social media?

Absolutely. We encourage sharing please tag @thelunarlake. Social-ready versions are available upon request.

Team & Coverage Planning

How many filmmakers attend the wedding?

Our minimum team size is two cinematographers to ensure comprehensive coverage and creative flexibility.

For larger or multi-day events, we may recommend a three- or four-person team depending on scale and complexity.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

For a single-day wedding, 8–10 hours typically covers preparation through reception formalities.

Multi-day celebrations include additional coverage blocks per event (welcome dinner, rehearsal, beach day, farewell brunch).

Do you work with planners and photographers?

Yes. We collaborate closely on timeline flow, lighting coordination, audio access, and movement to ensure seamless coverage without crowding your moments.
