Destination Weddings & Elopements!

LET'S EMBARK ON YOUR JOURNEY TOGETHER

The Lunar Lake is your fine arts & cinematic destination wedding cinematography team in the Caribbean based in Jamaica, repping Montego Bay specifically (I just had to slip that in there). To partially describe us, I'd say we are just a team that loves the idea of travelling, building relationships, exploring new places and the nuances of different cultures (one of us is quite the foodie, so you know how that goes!), by telling authentic stories along with our creative take and perspective.

Our main goal is to capture and reflect your experiences as intimate stories, just as the lake reflects the moonlight during the ease of night. The idea of having you, our couples, relive and explore your lived experiences and emotions through film-based storytelling is something we can't help but do and love because gifting you these precious memories encapsulated in the form of video so that you can relive your most cherished and valued moments is the greatest thing we could offer to you as wedding cinematographers.

OUR APPROACH

All our couples are like family to us, so our methods of creating compelling stories are quite intimate. Whether you have your destination wedding in Jamaica (my home), the Dominica Republic, Bali or anywhere else you take us, we ensure the experience is as comforting and enjoyable as possible. No matter the style you choose (conceptual story, elopement, destination, luxury or traditional wedding), the experience will always remain authentic.

During our creative process, we prefer the approach of telling the true intimate stories of our couples, especially the little bits that we tend to ignore or forget. So rather than posing couples most times, we guide your simple gestures with each other and allow your moment to unfold in front of the camera.

All we want, is for you to reminisce about the moments you have shared, the bond you have made and the family and friends you cherish.

Nostalgic memories are powerful yet subtle moments that bring forth rushing emotions from a distant past that gives you a sense of being grateful for past experiences.

NOSTALGIA

To yearn for the past is a natural thing. You reflect on moments, once young. The first time you met, the first time you held hands and the moment you first shared a kiss, gazing through time to the warmth of your parents and the fascinating stories of your grandparents.

INTIMACY

There are no deeper bonds than those we share with the ones we love: our friends, our families, and lovers.

An endless desire to share cascading moments and emotions.

“There is no greater feeling than reliving the moments of your vested memories.”

YOU MAY ASK YOURSELF, “WHY WE SHOULD GET A WEDDING VIDEO?”.

The great thing about Wedding films is how unique the story of a couple can be. Think back to when your parents or even your grandparents got married. The first thing that comes to you is overwhelming bursts of nostalgia. Memories of the past once forgotten now surged like the ocean wave flooding your mind with old and new intertwined feelings.

However, in the present time, these older weddings are sometimes considered stiff, formal events. The fantastic thing is that they hold vital memories, reflections of moments lived—beautiful and precious stories connected to the hearts and minds of those we love.

Memories have always been a priceless commodity, which has not changed even today. With the privileges of advancement and the accessibility we have now, it’s become far more accessible to make records of our lives through various methods. Video is considered the most effective medium, combining imagery and audio. Things are even better as weddings are no longer just formal, strait-laced events but a place to be yourself and create memories with those you love.

Whether your destination wedding takes you to a winery with succulent aromas, on top of a mountain within clouds in St Lucia or Bali, by a lake deep in the forest with nature as your choir, on a tropical beach or even at the cliffs with the waves crashing below in Jamaica and Dominica Republic, with all these added elements and more, Wedding films are now true works of art.
